Data Summary Module

The Data Summary module is a powerful data visualization and analysis tool within the Facility Management Cloud (FMCC). It provides a centralized and intuitive interface to access, view, and analyze historical and real-time data from all connected points and devices across your facilities. This module is essential for trend analysis, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and generating insights from the vast amount of data collected by your building automation and control systems.

By consolidating data into easily digestible formats, the Data Summary module empowers facility managers, engineers, and operators to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Key Features & Sub-modules

The Data Summary module is organized into different data types to streamline analysis.

1. Analogue

The Analogue section is dedicated to the visualization and analysis of data points that have a continuous range of values. This includes readings from sensors that measure physical properties like temperature, pressure, humidity, flow rates, energy consumption (kW), and more. It is one of the most frequently used tools for understanding building performance and environmental conditions.

Core Capabilities:

Interactive Charting

View historical analogue data through dynamic and interactive line charts. Users can easily zoom in on specific timeframes (from seconds to years), pan across data sets, and identify trends or anomalies.

Multi-Point Comparison

Overlay data from multiple analogue points onto a single chart. This is incredibly useful for comparing performance across different pieces of equipment (e.g., comparing the discharge air temperature of several AHUs) or different areas of a building.

Data Export

Export raw or summarized data from selected points and time ranges into standard formats like CSV or Excel for further analysis, reporting, or compliance documentation.

Statistical Analysis

Instantly view key statistical values for a selected timeframe, such as:

  • Minimum (Min): The lowest recorded value.
  • Maximum (Max): The highest recorded value.
  • Average (Avg): The mean value over the period.
  • Time-of-Occurrence: Timestamps for when the Min/Max values were recorded.

Live Data View

Monitor the real-time value of any analogue point, providing an immediate snapshot of current operational status.

Use Case Example

A facility manager wants to investigate why a specific zone in the building is reporting discomfort. They can use the Analogue Data Summary to chart the zone’s temperature sensor, the associated VAV box damper position, and the AHU’s supply air temperature on a single graph. By analyzing the trends, they can quickly diagnose if the issue is with the AHU, the VAV box, or a faulty sensor, leading to faster resolution.
